I am the founder of EAT Local CSRA, whose mission is to help people make and enjoy eating locally grown, organic food. Another big part of my life here in Augusta is working with Child Enrichment both as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate for Abused and Neglected Children) and with the Heroes Club, a part of Child Enrichment. I have two children ages 18 and 20 and our family moved from Maryland 11 years ago. Finally, I was born in Brooklyn, went to a math/science magnet high school, got my undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, and then my PhD in Bioengineering specializing in hip and knee implant materials. When my kids were young, I trained to become a mediator and worked part-time in a community mediation center.
