Our Time Bank was founded in 2009 and is open to all people who live, work, or attend school within our boundaries in the Western Los Angeles area. Our membership has grown fast, but we are still small and working on building community.
Our mission is to nurture and expand a movement that promotes equality and builds caring community economies through inclusive exchange of time and talent. We are working with members and local communities to strengthen and rebuild community, foster a network of skill sharing, and use TimeBanks, Sharing Economies, and our Repair Café to achieve wide-ranging goals such as social justice, bridges between diverse communities, and local ecological sustainability.
The Global Timebank gives Time and Talents v2 users an opportunity to reach out and help one another outside their "local" timebank. All active Time and Talents v2 users have access to The Global Timebank.
This is the generator account for MAP Minutes. For certain events or volunteering opportunities, this account can remain in negative time credits and can distribute time credits to you for attending.
The Phoenixville Area Time Bank is a part of the Time Banks USA Initiative and was founded in 2004. Today, we operate with around 100 members who have many different talents and skills.
Our members have many things in common - values, commitment, generosity, curiosity, and neighborly concern for others, to name a few. By exchanging talents and skills, we put our time where our values are: in the service of others and our community.
Time Banking is about giving back as much as you are able and getting what you need to maintain a purposeful life. Every person has something to contribute to our community.
It's a win-win for everybody!
