TimeBank Raglan is woven right into the heart of our friendly Whāingaroa community since our very beginning in 2012. It’s a place where skills, time, and caring circulate freely, strengthening connections that make our town feel like a village. TimeBank Raglan reflects the generosity and manaakitanga that define our community, whether it’s sharing a home‑cooked meal, offering a ride, teaching a skill, or lending a hand when life gets busy, It’s not just a system of exchange; it’s one of the threads that holds our people together and you are so welcome to join us!
The purpose of the CSTB is to build a trusted, safe community wherein individual and organizational members can exchange their skills, interests, and acknowledgements through the use of time credits and by so doing meet their basic needs and improve their quality of life. In doing so, we also hope to strengthen our community.
Our Timebank is situated in Edinburgh, Scotland where we have over 200 members mainly in the coastal suburb of Portobello, but also up to about 5 miles away. We welcome anyone resident in and around the EH15 postcode which is on the north-east side of Edinburgh. In addition to this geographic restriction, members must be aged 16 years or over. Otherwise, we welcome people of any gender, religion, nationality, ethnicity, physical ability or socio-economic status.
Most of our services are connected with very local community projects, and one-to-one exchanges between members who already know each other or have become friends since joining our Timebank.
For new and existing members, this account is the central hub of Portobello Timebank. You earn time credits if you help out at our fund-raising or recruitment events, and you also receive a 5 hour bonus when you have completed an induction AND added a photo and bio to your profile!

Our Time Bank was founded in 2009 and is open to all people who live, work, or attend school within our boundaries in the Western Los Angeles area. Our membership has grown fast, but we are still small and working on building community.
Our mission is to nurture and expand a movement that promotes equality and builds caring community economies through inclusive exchange of time and talent. We are working with members and local communities to strengthen and rebuild community, foster a network of skill sharing, and use TimeBanks, Sharing Economies, and our Repair Café to achieve wide-ranging goals such as social justice, bridges between diverse communities, and local ecological sustainability.
Timebanking is all about sharing our time, skills and resources. By meeting different people, helping each other and learning new things, we're build connections and strengthening our community.
We all have something to offer, and we all have something we need - maybe washing windows, learning a language, or just having kai together....
Many people doing many small things can create a world of difference!
The Phoenixville Area Time Bank is a part of the Time Banks USA Initiative and was founded in 2004. Today, we operate with around 100 members who have many different talents and skills.
Our members have many things in common - values, commitment, generosity, curiosity, and neighborly concern for others, to name a few. By exchanging talents and skills, we put our time where our values are: in the service of others and our community.
Time Banking is about giving back as much as you are able and getting what you need to maintain a purposeful life. Every person has something to contribute to our community.
It's a win-win for everybody!
